August 2008:

Local care home opens its doors to wood pellet Manormead Care Home provides eco-friendly heat and hot water for the residents.

Opened by Archbishop of Canterbury in 2008 the home is just 3.5 miles from where Harvest Wood Fuels pellet plant is based.

This means that their carbon footprint is reduced by 95% compared with fossil fuel. They will use up to 100 tonnes of pellets each year.
